January 26, 2015 (Masaya Nicaragua)

I SAW LIONS AND TIGERS this week....I took my companion out to eat for her birthday and I was sitting where I could see the window and so I just casually looked up and BAM a truck with 4 Lions and 2 tigers Crazy!! But AWESOME and for the rest of the day I was freaking out.

So I hope you all remember Brunilda my converso de Nandaime she called me on Wednesday and started getting mad because I left her there jajajaja was THE BEST phone call I have ever had hahahahaha.

WE have started teaching English classes here and it is so much fun we started with 15 people in the class which was SUPER good it was awesome!! I just love it!

The church was so good this week we had a bunch of investigators go and it was just a spiritual meeting I loved it. }

SO I was sitting in my Zone meeting this Friday just talking about our investigators and the door opens and in walks President Russell and his wife hahaha the look on the other missionaries faces was priceless but I love it when he comes he carries a spirit with him that is so strong you can feel it from so far away I just love it.

Well I hope all is well on the home front!! Love ya´ll so much!!!

January 19, 2015 (Masaya Nicaragua)

This week was awesome and crazy....we found some new people that wanted to hear the gospel today the thing is Masaya is like the Las Vegas of Nicaragua....its parties all the time so when we tell them that they can’t drink they don’t like that to much but we are getting there. And THANK YOU FOR MY PACKAGE.

So this week I just wanted to do some you might be in Nicaragua if stuff.....
1. You might be in Nicaragua if having at least four people on a motorcycle or a bike is normal.
2. When showering with cold water from a bucket has become normal.
And so many others I will share them with you this next coming week.
I want you all to know that this has been my favorite year in all my life because I have found out who I am and I didn’t do it by doing things for ME I found it out by doing things for others I love this gospel and what it does for people I LOVE IT.
So this week we have just been working like crazy people I am exhausted but I LOVE it here I am so glad to hear about all the missionaries that are going out its awesome!! LOVE IT!! This isn’t very long because I don’t have much time but I love you all!!!

January 12, 2015 (Masaya Nicaragua)

Well this week was about the craziest thing that has ever happened to me jajajaja I didn’t have changes I stayed here in Masaya but I did change companions and shocking news my companion is from UTAH....WHAAAAAAAAAAAT Hermana Comb’s is my companion that’s right all of you that remember that name she was in the MTC with me!! It’s awesome and kinda crazy but I love it!!!

This week all of the people that were in my Zone in Jinotepe got transferred here it’s AWESOME
Well my new companion and I basically started from zero this week because nobody was progressing sometimes Gods timing is not the same as mine....well like all the time but I know one day these people will be ready I love you all and I am so glad you support me being here!!
Oh and family dear....your procrastinator FINNALLY sent you your Christmas gifts....yes I know its January jajaja ooooops...
WE worked with the Elders this week.....both North Americans and TALL and we had to walk well run behind them trying to keep up the whole time it was INSANE how fast they were walking....I hope that is not normal for the US and I will have a crazy culture shock when I get home.
Okay so I just wanted to write some things that I have learned on my mission.
1. My Heavenly Father loves me.... A LOT he knows me and he wants to help me in everything that I am doing I hope that I will always feel this way.
2. The mission is amazing everyone says this life is hard but it really is easier because the spirit guides EVERYTHING you do.
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH

January 5, 2015 (Masaya Nicaragua)

Well for Christmas from one of my friends here I got pop rocks......those don’t exist here so I decided it would be awesome to let people try them.....most entertaining thing of my life....I just asked them if they wanted to try candy so they opened their mouths and I poured them in and when they started to pop I just watched...I am such a bad person I know but I couldn’t help it, it was just awesome.

Tonight I am making pancakes...and fired potatoes....and eggs...BREAKFAST FOR DINNER the best time to have it!
Tomorrow we hear who has changes I don’t think I am going anywhere I think I am going to stay here a little while longer
I don’t remember if you all remember one of my converts from Nandaime her name is Jansi? Well today she came to visit me she came in the morning and stayed with me all day! It was awesome!! She brought me a snickers bar......it was awesome
Well sad news....oh of our recent converts fell into drugs and alcohol again and we can’t do anything because we are sister missionaries drunk people don’t make me scared because I am usually bigger than all the people here but President said to do nothing let the bishop handle it....I cried.
One of our other investigators doesn’t want to go to church so we have to stop teaching him. It kills my heart but what can I do? It isn’t their time yet.
The work is slow right now but we are getting there all these parties going on nobody wants to listen or they are drinking and don’t remember us talking to them...but we are getting there just pray for the work here...and pray the people with start paying tithing so the temple will come. I love you all and hope to hear from you this week!!

December 29, 2014 (Masaya Nicaragua)

I got to talk to my family this week it was awesome!! I got to see Addison that cute little baby and I got to hear their voices it was so good!

This week was a good one the people have been more positive maybe it’s because it’s Christmas but I like it I taught people how to roast marshmallows this week...it was awesome!!

We had a big mission activity for Navidad this week it was awesome they had a HUGE lunch and we played a ton of games and got flu shots......that’s right flu shots........it was our present from the mission for Christmas but we got to eat cheese cake so that was good!! We were all sitting there and our mission Presidents wife told us she had a presentation for us so we were waiting for pictures of our clean houses or something and then they start showing us pictures of our families about 80 missionaries in the same room and everyone was crying we are tough and do what we can but when it comes to family we are all the same crybabies jajajaja.

Okay so on the 24 we left for Managua at 7 in the morning and got back a little before 8 so we ran to dinner and then went home we planned and we slept at midnight it sounded like a war outside so we went out to watch the fireworks that weren’t fireworks and then we went to sleep again but then someone was pounding on our door so we woke up and looked who it was and it was the people that own our house with a plate FULL of food the tradition here is they don’t eat dinner they wait until midnight and then they eat a TON its crazy I didn’t know what to do with myself.

Another good thing we have an investigator that was so sure he couldn’t stop drinking coffee and he couldn’t stop smoking but HE DID IT!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of him it is just awesome when they climb over that huge wall they have in front of them!!

Well the work goes on and on I miss you all and I am so grateful for you all!! Thank you for everything!!
