September 29, 2014 (Nandaime Nicaragua)

This week was a good week!!

Our recent convert Brunilda well she is so much like my Grandpa Frank it is unreal sometimes I feel like I am there with him. I have always been mad with myself because I didn’t spend much time with him but here in my mission I have been blessed with opportunities to not regain that time because I can’t but to do other things that are pretty close. She has been sick with a fever and has a bad foot but DID NOT want to go to the doctor...Grandpa Frank but I went to her house and started acting like my mom and off she went to the hospital. She has two little hairs that grow out of her chin...grandpa frank... that she is always complaining about and that we have to take out. Then we cut her nails and painted them for her and she kept faking like it was hurting scared me every time....Grandpa Frank and she makes what I call the Grandpa Frank face it makes me so happy.. And when she is concentrating super hard she sticks her tongue out!!

WE watched the Relief Society conference and I didn’t know in the United States almost all the girls are BLONDE. It was so weird to see....

This week I ate like 4 avocados they are HUGE here you put a little lime and a little salt and you have one of the best meals ever!!

Well conference is coming I hope everyone is getting ready!! I am so excited!!!

I love you all!!

September 22, 2014 (Nandaime Nicaragua)

Well this week was full of excitement we had Multi Zonas this week and I got to see some of my friends from the MTC and from my last area!! It was so much fun I learned so much and then we played games and that part was awesome my companion and I in front of everyone had to take out all the tissues from a tissue box one at a time in less than a minute and not to brag but WE SO WON but they gave the point to the other team but Justice was served when Zona Jinotepe won it all!! we then took the 1 and a half bus ride home and any of you that know me know that I get SUPER motion sick SUPER easy well I almost threw up in the bus and when we got home I threw up and then all night long I kept throwing up and then that got me super dehydrated but I am good now don’t worry!!

Well we had a baptism this last Saturday and everything went so well we went to Hermana Brunildas house and she had dyed her hair because she wanted to be gorgeous for the baptism. I think she is the prettiest without her hair dyed. The spirit just radiates I love it!! She was scared to go under the water and kept saying and if I don’t come out alive I go straight to heaven right? I just couldn’t help but laugh but everything went well. Sunday we went to get her to bring her to church and there she was waiting for us to help her get ready we got to church she got confirmed and then didn’t know she needed to leave the pulpit so the Bishop was like okay Hermana you can go now but she didn’t move so I went and got her we were about to take the sacrament which we had talked A LOT about with her and she looks at me with fear in her eyes and said I didn’t bring any money and I just laughed and said that’s not what this is and I explained it to her and she just started laughing

Well we went to Jinotepe today again to do some shopping and print photos and when we came back I was sitting in a chair with a lady and she left so this guy sat down and I thought to myself ohhhh boy here we go and he looked and me and said WOW look at your eyes how pretty and what’s your name and then he just talked and talked so I looked at him and said Hi my name is Sister Udall I am a representative of Jesus Christ and the church. Of him I asked if he lived in Nandaime and he said yes so I told him where the church was and when we had church and he said can I go visit you and I said come to church Sunday I have a lot of people that would like to visit you he then tried asking for my number sooo I gave him the number of my district leader......we will see how that goes. I just hope one day he finds his way to church.

Well I love this gospel and all of you!! Stay strong and work hard to serve others!!

August 15, 2014 (Nandaime Nicaragua)

Well its Monday another week has flown by I cannot believe that the time is flying so fast it is almost October!!

This week it rained everyday so I have been wet from head to toe for a week and all I have is a stuffy nose it’s a miracle!!

Well we have a Taxi driver here that takes us wherever we need to go for super cheap when there is changes he willingly gets up at 4 in the morning to take us to Jinotepe to catch the bus for Managua he is super nice his wife is super awesome too. Well we went and visited him this week because he was finally at his house and he has a baptism date!!! I am so happy and excited and so is he I love seeing how excited people get when they feel the spirit that is going to change their lives.
I was thinking if the Book of Mormon is so true and every time people members bare testimony that it is true WHY do they not read it every day of their lives IT CHANGES LIVES and it doesn’t matter if you are member or not the things that are of God are for everyone not just for people that aren’t baptized. I love this truth.
We are going to baptize the cutest 90 year old lady I have ever met....but she is SUPER stubborn but all the bad times I have had just disappear when we are teaching her because she just makes me laugh!! I love her to death!
I am sitting in the church emailing my family and listening to EFY music from Ryan Innes It is weird to listen to music in English it’s weird to speak English and to write English but that makes me happy because FINALLY I have gotten to a point where I dream think speak sing write and read in Spanish the Gift of Tongues is serious and seriously awesome.
The Priesthood in the branch they are all playing Baseball today that is what all the people here in Nicaragua play is Baseball. They play soccer but they like baseball more they say that in Major league baseball there are a lot of people from Nicaragua that play THATS AWESOME!! We were in a lesson this week and there were a bunch of kids playing baseball in the street and when we finished the little kid caught the ball so the other poor little kid was out and started crying and he came up to me and said "Gringa that’s not the rules right??" poor kid was trying everything so that he wouldn’t be out.
Well I love you all and hope that all is well I will be here Next week ready to hear about all the stuff that is happening at home!!

LOVE YOU ALL

You can't "Sell" the Gospel but you can Share it.

September 8, 2014 (Nandaime Nicaragua)

I AM STILL IN NANDAIME!! Whooo I didn’t have changes and my companion didn’t either! We are still together Hermana Martinez and I. I am super happy! She is awesome and so is Nandaime it is a hard area but we are finally having success here! So until October 15 I am going to work my hardest!!
Well this week was a hard one because we worked SUPER hard and I was sick and we left the house SUPER early Sunday to go get our investigators and they weren’t there or they lied to us or they were fighting us to not go to church.
But today we started a new week and I can feel it’s going to be a good one but this morning we went to Jinotepe to buy some things and this crazy guy came up to me and said give me your drink (I was drinking Gatorade) and I didn’t give it to him because if you give things to him he follows you but if you don’t he gets mad so he was all mad at me and took off across the street and was saying all kinds of crazy things about Gringos and then with all his strength and might he gave me the middle finger....what a nice guy I just couldn’t help but laugh.
The time here in the mission is flying everyone is starting to get back from their missions. Everyone at home is starting school or getting married I just want everyone to remember that God NEEDS to come first it DOES NOT matter how important you think other things are he needs and HAS to come first because if you want a happy life and help with your trials BE OBEDIENT it’s that easy he CANNOT bless you if you are not obedient I love you all so much and hope for the best!!

September 1, 2014 (Nandaime Nicaragua)

Hola Familia y amigos!!!!!

Well tomorrow we will hear about changes and I don’t feel as nervous as the last time I know that it every part of this mission everywhere that I will go has people that NEED the gospel so I will LOVE everywhere I go because well.....it’s NICARAGUA!!!!

On Thursday I will be completing 7 months and you can tell when I try and speak English because it doesn’t work so well there are a ton of people here that want to practice English and they laugh at me jajajaja It doesn’t feel like 7 months it still feels like I just got here but I have seen so many miracles in this short time I have been so stressed so irritated (the Elders jajajajajaj) and so Happy here in my mission I would and will not change it for anything.

Well we have FINALLY come into the wet season it has rained here every day this last week usually in the night time and the Lightning is crazy and there is a TON of it and when it rains the streets are full up to my knees in water and I am tall and the Nicaraguan people are not soooo just imagine

Well I sang at a funeral once here for a member that passed away and yesterday we went to visit his mother(Brumilda) and we were talking and she can’t walk because her foot is infected and I looked and her and said Hermana do you want to get baptized and usually I am not that blunt but it just came out of my mouth she said yes yes Sister I do but I can’t go to church I have no money to take a taxi and I can’t walk and I said Hermana I know without a doubt if you want to do this God will give you a way. Well Wheelchairs here are SUPER rare because they are expensive But that night WE FOUND ONE...super-fast we found one.. THIS SISTER IS GETTING BAPTISED!!!!

Well the people here drink a lot of soda and we were walking on our way to go to an activity in the church and we stopped to buy water in a pulperia a little store that is like on every corner and the guy said want soda an what else I am going to give it to you....then we went to the church and they gave us more soda then we went to dinner and they gave us more soda......when I get to the states.....not going to drink soda for five years just to clean my system out of all this soda!!

WEll I have a testimony more stronger this week that it doesn’t matter who you are where you come from what you believe this gospel that I am preaching is for you...and at one point or another in your life you will come to learn that because all of our plans yes are different but they all end the same and God wants us happy so he sent his Son to die for us and to set up this church HIS church and this church is part of the plan HE has for ALL of us...I love this gospel and my Father in Heaven. Please if you are a member help other come unto this gospel and if you are not a member pray and ask just ask HIM what you need to do and he will tell you and when he does look for the missionaries they are ready to help!!

LES QUIERO MUCHÍSIMO!! TALK to y'all next week!!
